Quick Note:
This summer we welcomed our first batch of interns to nuyu. For the last few weeks they've been hard at work here in our New York office; writing blog posts, styling looks, planning photoshoots, and much more. Because they're such an integral part of our team, we wanted to take the opportunity to introduce them before they leave us and head back to school. 😭 😭 😭

Lindsey
Where are you from? New York, New York
Where do you attend school? University of Michigan
What’s your major? Sociology-- don’t ask me what I plan to do with that.
Favorite thing to eat? From where? Chilean Sea Bass from TAO, although it’s not exactly in the range of foods I can afford (a burrito bowl from Chipotle is splurging on my budget).
Favorite sports team? Mets, Mets, Mets. It’s been a rough ride but I still have faith.
What are you afraid of? NOTHING! No, just kidding the dark is a pretty messed up place and I’d avoid a scary movie at all costs. I don’t really understand the point of them. Why would I pay to be scared? It makes no sense.
The best advice I ever got was from: My mom
And they Told you: Boys are babies
What does Fashion mean to you? Fashion is a way to express yourself and speak to the world without actually saying anything at all. For example if I am in sweatpants and a hoodie, I’m probably saying, “do not talk to me, I’m not in the mood.”
What’s your favorite game day outfit?: My overalls, with a Michigan tank underneath. Trendy and adorable, amiiright?!

Where are you from? New York, New York
Where do you attend school? Tulane University
What’s your major? I plan on majoring in studio art
Favorite thing to eat? And where? I love Mezzaluna, I’ve been eating there since high school and am still completely obsessed. They have the best tiramisu i’ve ever tasted--sometimes I go just for that.
Favorite sports team? The Patriots. My dad’s side of the family is from Boston and I would probably be disowned if I wasn’t a diehard Patriots fan.
What do you like wearing to tailgates? I love cutting up an oversized Tulane T-shirt and pairing it with a pair of jean shorts.
Favorite hobby? I really like drawing and painting, yoga, and anything that has to do with my dogs!
What does Fashion mean to you? I was never super into fashion growing up but as I get older my interest has grown. To me fashion is a way to show the world a sense of your personality. It really is just a creative outlet.

Where are you from? Rye Brook, New York
Where do you attend school? University of Michigan
What’s your major? Psychology
Favorite place to eat? Chopt -- I average about 3 visits per week and get the same salad every single time -- never gets old.
The best advice I ever got was from: Dr. Seuss
And they Told you: Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.
Favorite hobby? Playing with my doggies! I’d pick them over humans any day.
What or who inspires you most in the world? My mom -- just through watching, she’s shaped me into being the person I am today. She’s taught me the importance of family and to always be nice!
What’s your favorite game day outfit? I embroidered a giant Michigan M onto a tight white tank and paired it with ripped jean shorts. I accessorized with maize and blue knee high socks and sneakers.

What’s your major? International Studies- concentrating on political economy.
